step one
STEP ONE
The Consultation.
Prior to beginning your tattoo removal journey, you will attend an initial consultation to determine the safest and most appropriate methods for your individual needs and desired outcomes.
During this session, I will gather your medical history and assess your unique situation, ensuring that all aspects of your health and goals are taken into consideration.

step two
STEP TWO
Patch Testing.
Also before embarking on your tattoo removal journey, a patch test is conducted to ensure the selected treatment method is both safe and effective for your specific skin type and tattoo.
During this process, if we are otping for laser tattoo removal, I will apply a small, controlled amount of the laser treatment to a discreet area of your tattoo. This allows us to closely observe your skin’s reaction and gauge the effectiveness of the procedure, ensuring optimal results while minimising the risk of adverse effects.
The patch test serves as a vital step in tailoring a personalised tattoo removal plan that caters to your unique needs and expectations.

step three
STEP THREE
Chosen Treatment.
After assessing the results of your patch test, we will confidently move forward with the selected treatment plan. The method chosen will determine the specifics of your tattoo removal process. For more detailed information on what to expect, please refer to the descriptions provided below.

laser
what to expect
On the day of your laser tattoo removal session, the treatment area will be thoroughly cleaned and prepped. A cooling pack will be applied to minimise discomfort during the procedure. Additionally, you’ll be provided with protective eyewear to safeguard your eyes from the laser.
I will then use the laser device to deliver targeted pulses of light energy to the tattoo ink. The laser’s specific wavelength is chosen based on the ink colours, effectively breaking down the pigment into smaller fragments. I will carefully move the laser handpiece across the entire tattoo, ensuring that all ink particles are targeted.
During the treatment, a cooling device or cold compress may be used to minimize discomfort and reduce any swelling or redness in the treated area. This helps to alleviate any heat generated by the laser and soothes the skin.
saline
what to expect
To ensure minimal discomfort, I recommend purchasing an over the counter topical numbing cream from your pharmacy and applying as directed to the area to be treated prior to arrival at the studio. Ensure you seek your Pharmacists advice on the suitability, application and contact time of the product.
Before I begin your saline tattoo removal session, the treatment area will be thoroughly cleaned and prepped.
During the treatment, I will use a specialised tattoo machine and a sterile cartridge needle to carefully introduce the sterile saline solution into the skin, targeting the layer where the tattoo ink resides.
This process is similar to the original tattooing technique, but instead of ink, the saline solution is being applied to the area. This process can be repeated up to three times before a layer of saline is applied to the whole area to be absorbed by the skin.

FINALLY
Healing & Aftercare.
Once your tattoo, microblading or permanent makeup removal session is complete, I will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to adhere to at home.
Proper aftercare is crucial to the success of the treatment, as it promotes optimal healing, minimises the risk of complications, and ultimately influences the final outcome of the removal process. Aftercare includes,
Keeping the Area Clean and Dry
It’s essential to gently cleanse the treated area with mild soap and water, followed by patting it dry with a clean towel. This routine helps to prevent infection and support the healing process.
Avoiding Sun Exposure
Protecting the treated area from direct sunlight is vital, as UV rays can cause skin damage, slow down the healing process, and potentially lead to scarring or discolouration. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF when outdoors, and cover the area with clothing when possible.
Applying Prescribed Ointment
You will be provided with an aftercare balm to apply to the treated area. This product aids in promoting healing, reducing inflammation, and preventing dryness or excessive scabbing.
Avoiding Irritation
Refrain from picking, scratching, or rubbing the treated area, as this can cause further damage and hinder the healing process. Allow any scabs or blisters to heal naturally without interference.
Staying Hydrated and Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle
Drinking plenty of water and maintaining a balanced diet can support the body’s natural healing process and immune response, ultimately aiding in the elimination of broken-down ink particles.

Follow Up Sessions.
I recommend a minimum of 8 weeks between all removal sessions, regardless of the chosen method, to allow sufficient time for healing. Extending the time between sessions enables your body to effectively eliminate the ink from your skin.
While it may be tempting to increase the frequency of removal sessions, doing so may not necessarily expedite the process. The number and frequency of sessions needed depends on factors such as the size, age, ink type, and location of the tattoo, as well as your skin type and healing capabilities.
Every individual will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and careful monitoring of the results is crucial in determining the final outcome. This personalised approach ensures that each client receives the most effective and tailored treatment plan for their unique situation.

FAQ'S
The cost of tattoo removal can vary depending on several factors, including the size, colour, location, and method of tattoo removal, as well as the number of sessions required for complete removal. I recommend booking a consulkatyion to discuss your individual needs and requirements.
In general, tattoo removal tends to be more expensive than getting a tattoo. The process of tattoo removal requires specialised equipment, advanced training, and multiple sessions to achieve desired results. Additionally, tattoo removal often involves advanced technologies such as laser treatments, which can contribute to the higher cost. On the other hand, getting a tattoo typically involves a one-time cost for the tattooing process itself. However, it’s important to note that the cost of tattoo removal can vary depending on factors such as the size, colour, and complexity of the tattoo, as well as the number of sessions required.
No, not all tattoo removal sessions are priced the same. The pricing for tattoo removal sessions can vary depending on several factors, including:
Size of the tattoo: Larger tattoos generally require more time and resources to remove, so they are priced higher than smaller tattoos.Type of tattoo removal technology: The choice of technology can impact the pricing.
Location of the tattoo: Tattoos in certain areas of the body are more difficult or time-consuming to remove, which can influence the cost.
Number of sessions required: Some tattoos may require multiple sessions to achieve satisfactory results. The number of sessions needed can impact the overall cost.
Certain colours, such as yellow or green pigments, may be more difficult to remove, and may require a different method of removal, which can affect the overall pricing. Intricate or detailed tattoo designs may require more sessions and resources for complete removal, affecting the pricing.
All sessions are priced individually or packages can be arranged where a number of sessions are likely to be required.
The number of sessions required for complete tattoo removal can vary depending on several factors, including the size, colour, type of ink used, location, and the individual’s skin response to the treatment. On average, most tattoos require multiple sessions for satisfactory results.
For professional tattoos, it typically takes anywhere from 5 to 15 sessions to achieve significant fading or complete removal. However, it’s important to note that some tattoos may require more sessions, while others may require fewer. The sessions are spaced at least 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and for the body to eliminate the ink particles.
Packages can be arranged for individuals who will require a large number of treatments. Please ask for more information during your consultation.
In the UK, insurance coverage for tattoo removal can vary depending on the specific insurance policy and provider. Generally, tattoo removal is considered an elective cosmetic procedure, which means it may not be covered by standard health insurance plans.
However, there are instances where tattoo removal may be covered by insurance. For example, if the tattoo causes physical discomfort, such as allergic reactions or skin infections, insurance may cover the removal as a medically necessary procedure. It’s best to review the terms and conditions of your insurance policy or contact your insurance provider directly to inquire about coverage for tattoo removal.
In some cases, if the tattoo was obtained as a result of a traumatic event, such as human trafficking or domestic abuse, certain organizations or charities may provide assistance or funding for tattoo removal.
It’s important to note that insurance coverage for tattoo removal can be limited, and each case is evaluated individually. It’s recommended to consult with your insurance provider to determine if tattoo removal may be covered under your specific policy.
